The Handbook of TOP TIPS to Manage Your Writing by Andrew Marsh

This post is a supplementary post to the publication of my e-book on Kindle on 25 June 2013.

It is available on amazon.co.uk via the following links

Available in paperback on Amazon

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Handbook-TIPS-Manage-Your-Writing/dp/0954733622/ref=sr_1_5?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1374740361&sr=1-5&keywords=andrew+marsh

and as a Kindle

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/reader/B00E4H4V6O/ref=sib_dp_kd#reader-link

The book is priced at the awesomely brilliant price of £3.08 in the UK and on a country by country basis elsewhere. (it may vary slightly due to the exchange rate with the USA)

There are a number of tables and spread sheets in the book, but unfortunately, the formatting of Kindle makes their reproduction difficult, even if you insert them as spread sheets. Some of the tables are a little unclear, so I am including them in this post for anyone to use to supplement those in the book.

I hope this helps anyone who has bought my book. If anyone has any comments on the book or blog, you can contact me by leaving a reply on this blog.

Notes.

  1. To add two items together, eg Total Pages, in      Cell C4 where the number 10 is located, it is Cells C3 plus B4. The      keystroke is to place the cursor in C4 and type =C3+B4 then hit “return”.      (in this example it is 2 plus 8 = 10)
  2. Next action. To do the same action on all the      Cells in Row C, put the cursor at the bottom right corner of Cell C4 so      that it shows up as a bold cross (+)      and keeping the right mouse button down, “drag” the curse down Row C to      the last line and then let go of the mouse button. It will have copied the      action and added all of the total pages together.
  3. Repeat for the column “Total Words” for the      chapters to be added progressively down the page.
  4. This example is from Fendrel’s Tale Volume 1 –      The One Who Will Come currently in final proof reading at the time of      writing this book.

Notes.

  1. To make text appear on two lines of a Cell, right      click in that Cell, go to “Format Cells” click on “Alignment” and then      click “Wrap Text”.
  2. In the actual spread sheet, you can make the      Cells as wide as you need to suit either landscape or portrait printing.
