Fendrel’s Tale, the story so far

Fendrel’s Tale, came as a dream and stayed, milling around in my head, growing and developing until it just had to be written.

Set in a place called The Walls in the land of Terrastone it tells of a young man, Fendrel who lives with his overbearing Aunt Zengal. While out for a walk one day, he comes upon an arguement between the Magi Freija and Edmund, the evil Sheriff. His presence distracts Edmund and in that moment Edmund’s power is lost.

The story tells the history of the Great Tumult, a time of much calamity and strife until the Walls are built and hope returns. A long time later, in Fendrel’s time, the sheriff’s are corupt and all live in fear, until Fendrel stands for election, and wins by a landslide.

All changes and the Walls become as better place to live as trust developes between Fendrel, the new Sheriff and the people. But. in order to prove to all that he is truly the one, he has to go on a quest to find The Shard of Rock, cross the Great Chasm and fulfil his destiny. On the Shard of Rock, he finds the message from Eldred, their great sage,  and Fendrel returns as The One Who Will Come and lead the people to their bright new future.

But, challenges afoot, he has to cross the Sullen Lands, a place of lawlessness, evil and dark.

Follow Fendrel on his quest for this is just the beginning…….
